Dr. Nicholas Berger is a Colon and Rectal Surgeon specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders of the small intestine, colon, rectum, anus, and pelvic floor. Dr. Berger received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, which included a 2-year research fellowship in cancer research, and he is certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Berger then completed subspecialty training at the Cleveland Clinic Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship in Cleveland, Ohio. Although a native of Ohio, Dr. Berger was beyond excited to move to the Inland Northwest with his wife to enjoy the wide range of recreational activities available around Spokane, in particular downhill skiing and hiking. Dr. Berger sees patients at our central Cataldo and North Nevada Clinic locations. He is an active staff physician at Sacred Heart Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, and Deaconess Hospital. Dr. Berger offers robotic, laparoscopic, and traditional surgery to treat a variety of complex conditions and diseases.

The dr and support staff are amazingly helpful and efficient. The dr is also amazing, I appreciate him and his procedure he did for me. He advocated for me, the support nurses did too. It was a long wait for my first appointment, but after that the staff seamlessly scheduled all appointments for me that were needed. I could call and get rapid answers to any problems or concerns.
