Endometriosis treatment
Endometriosis treatment
Specialized excision of endometriosis and ovarian cysts (endometriomas), often in cases of deep infiltrating disease.
Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain, inflammation, and sometimes fertility problems. Symptoms range from painful periods and pelvic pain to bowel and bladder symptoms.
Our surgical approach emphasizes excision—cutting out endometriosis tissue rather than burning it—which is associated with more complete removal. We treat endometriomas (ovarian endometriosis cysts) and deep infiltrating disease, coordinating with other specialists when lesions involve the bowel, bladder, or ureters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Excision surgery involves carefully cutting out all visible endometriosis tissue rather than destroying it with heat or laser. This approach allows pathologic confirmation and is associated with more thorough removal of disease.
Referral rules depend on your insurance. Many patients come from primary care or another specialist; call our office if you are unsure how to schedule.
